Richard Smerin is from London, England. He is currently living in mainland Europe. With over 150 original songs to his credit. While usually described as 'country blues', Smerin's style incorporates Chicago/electric blues music, played in an acoustic fashion. He has long been enthralled by that particular branch of sometimes described as 'folk baroque' and epitomised in the playing of Bert Jansch. Songwriting is uppermost in Richard Smerin's musical interest and has resulted in recent CDs comprising solely of original material. |
